Last week, the GC900, which we have now come to call as the LG Viewty Smart, made an appearance on the LG blog, which was later taken down. This time around, we bring you news straight from the horse's mouth and have one more detail to add: a release date. According to the press release by LG recently, the 8mpx Viewty Smart cameraphone will start appearing through "operators in Europe" this May, but the article did not mention a price, so may be it's up to the operators now to come out with their subsidized prices. In the meantime, enjoy a few beauty shots of the LG Viewty Smart on us after the break...

Toshiba's future lineup has been leaked recently and now we have some pictures to match those names. The TG01 which we are already expecting will be followed by two new sets the TG02 and the TG03. The shots aren't exactly clear but we're so familiar with blurry leaked pictures that we'd be surprised to see the new handset any different. Now that we have the leaked images we'd like more details about actual pricing and availability dates.

T-Mobile has a new Sony Ericsson phone scheduled to be released soon. It's the C905 which has just been approved by the FCC. T-Mobile will sell it as the CS8, which means its the version for T-Mobile's GSM and AWS 3G bands. The phone should arrive later this year so both AT&T and T-Mo subscribers will be able to enjoy that same phone. Question is, who will be the first one to launch it?

Samsung seems to have finally realized that it would be foolish not to use the successful "Omnia" moniker and has decided to use it after all with the Samsung i8910. The i8910 is now scheduled for a release in Italy as the Omnia HD, although Samsung may still go ahead and release it as the i8910 HD in other markets. Making the event a bit more special is Samsung's colloboration with the movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which will be opening the same week, for the release of Omnia HD in Italy. As we already know, the the i8910 is similar in most features to Samsung Omnia with a few worthy upgrades, the most notable being an 8-megapixel lens instead of 5 megapixels and the use of AMOLED technology instead of TFT for its 3.2-inch touchscreen display. We still have no idea whether it will be able to record vidoes in 720p, but considering the HD tag that is attached to its name, we are betting it will.
Look for it to land in Italy on April 29 at an undisclosed price.

The price has not been leaked yet but if the Russian site is getting ready to launch the Samsung phone, we should assume we're going to find out more about the S8000 soon.

Samsung may have been thinking of a reliable rugged phone worthy for military use and it looks like the Samsung SGH-A657 is the perfect fit. However, if you are expecting to get some attention as far as features and overall appearance concerned, you can just forget it!
As far as features go, it's the mobile equivalent of a Kia Spectra wrapped up in a tank's body. It's got Bluetooth 2.0, Stereo Bluetooth, AT&T Navigator and Mobile music, Push to Talk, EDGE and HSDPA, microSD expansion, and all the basics you would expect from any phone.
The Samsung SGH-A657 was specially made for meeting military specifications for dust, shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures. As a bonus, it has a flashlight, just in case you drop the keys of your military vehicle along the way.

Is the HTC Fiesta an Android Phone?

This is just an early rumor with absolutely no confirmation whatsoever from HTC or anybody else, but the Fiesta is said to be another Google phone made by HTC.
The Android phone will supposedly be available in Asia, Europe and North America but we have no clue about its features. The Android phone has been found in the Bluetooth SIG so it will at least have Bluetooth support. We won't mind if you happen to have more information on the Fiesta! Just send it over right away!

BlackBerry Storm 2 Officially Confirmed for 2009

Apple is getting ready to launch a new iPhone and RIM's response seems to be a new BlackBerry Storm. The Storm 2 has been confirmed by Alain Segond von Banchet, RIM's Channel Sales manager in the Netherlands. The phone should arrive in late 2009 or early 2010. Isn't that too late? The new handset will launch with KPN which must mean the second Storm won't be a Vodafone exclusive.
What novelties will the Storm 2 bring us? A new touch input method which should be better than what we've seen so far. We're guessing that other things are also going to be added by RIM because just a new input method will not suffice in this tough business.

This may seem out of the blue but that's the way most cell phones get leaked, isn't it? Touted to be a successor to the F700, a new smartphone has popped up on ThePhoneHouse (Dutch subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse) called the Samsung B7610 Louvre. Details are sparse as of now but from the picture, we can assume that the device will be running Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a full QWERTY keypad. We will have to wait for Samsung to open up for other details and with a release date of July according to the website, they better make it official real soon, before blurry pictures or detailed spec sheets start emerging.
